Came in on a Friday morning around 9 am for National Doughnut Day. Not a long line but pretty busy. The doughnuts are fresh. I had the maple bacon bar and that was soft and still warm. The bacon is still crispy and the saltiness from the bacon was a good contrast to the sweetness from the maple doughnut. I also had a doughnut ice cream sandwich. It was 2 star shaped glazed doughnuts, with cookies and cream ice cream in the middle. That one tasted good also, but probably would have been better if the outside temp was warmer. This is coming from having 2 doughnuts from krispy kreme. They have a variety of doughnuts but what caught my eye was the X-Large doughnut, guessing their novelty/specialty doughnut which require 24 hour advance notice. Did not pay too much attention to it but at glance I remember it costing $20+. I would like to comment most on the customer service. About 3 workers helping the front, each of them willing to help a customer with a smile. If a doughnut was not out there and ready they were willing to make another batch if the customer is willing to wait. When I got my doughnuts and sat down to ate one of the workers was leaving and she took the time to ask how was the doughnut. Although she did not have to those small gestures mean a lot. There was an elderly couple that bought doughnuts and they want to go outside to eat their doughnuts and coffee. The coffee she requested was decaf, which was not ready, but they were willing to make a fresh batch and she was willing to wait. When it was ready she actually went outside to hand deliver to them, again, did not have to but the small things mean a lot. When I was there, there was also a mother and child getting doughnuts and I overheard she just wanted a dozen of one kind of doughnut, but she was curious at looking at another doughnut. One of the workers gave a free small hole doughnut as a sample just to try to see if they would like it. They did not get it at the end but it was nice. When they were about to leave one of the workers noticed the kid and they actually greeted the kid and try to interact with them by offering a hi-five. Again, the small things in customer service matter a lot to me Small shop, but stretched lengthwise. There were about 3 indoor wooden tables, 2 of them can seat 2, one of them could seat 4, with some outside benches and tables but I do not think it is part of the doughnut shop but rather the plaza space. Overall I would definitely come back. Greet customer service and the workers had great attitudes. Not to mention the awesome variety of doughnuts.

They really are the best in Elk Grove. Fresh donuts done right. The selection is huge and the service is great!

After going through photos for Java Time Donuts, I noticed they sold huge oversized donuts! I thought it was such a fun idea but I wanted to save it for a special occasion. Finally a few days ago, I came by and pre-ordered a large donut to bring to work to celebrate my boyfriend's last day. All of the large donuts have to be pre-ordered at least 24 hours ahead of time. They have multiple sizes, ranging from about $20-40. It looks like you can pretty much do any flavor, and they have heart shaped donuts too! When I ordered mine, she offered chocolate, glazed, or glazed with sprinkles, so I went with the latter, in the smallest size (which is still HUGE). I was impressed with the price, because usually novelty items like that aren't too cheap. They can also write on it! They use whipped cream and it's pretty legible. My pickup time was supposed to be 1:30pm but I called to find out if it was possible if I could pick it up earlier, and she told me it would be ready in ten minutes! We drove over there and waited a couple minutes and it was warm and ready in the perfect size box. They even threw in a few dozen donut holes for free, covered in matching sprinkles! As for the taste, it was so light and fluffy and soft! I was expecting the look of the donut to exceed the taste, but wow I was surprised. I definitely thought it would be too dense or dry due to the size, but it was perfect. Soft, chewy, melt-in-my-mouth delicious! The presentation was spot-on and I think it's an awesome alternative to the average cake, and it's perfect for any occasion, even if you want to just bring a big donut for a big group of people to share!

Holy Donut Batman!!!! In honour of National Donut Day work was nice enough to bring in these beauties. These aren't your regular mom and pop donuts (which I love) but works of art. Donuts with cereal on it, what?? Donuts with fruit on it, huh?? Anyways, I went Chocolate Bar filled with Peanut Butter. It was delicious!!

Absolutely love coming to my favorite local donut shop weekly (oftentimes more than that)! The staff, especially Sarah, are always pleasant and very friendly. The donuts are always stocked full and the environment is clean and tidy as well. My favorite order consists of hot French toast coffee with an add shot of espresso along with Oreo donut holes or the occasional chocolate chip muffin. Never am disappointed here! Would definitely recommend this donut shop to anyone in Elk Grove! Also, they can make massive cake-sized donuts with 24 hour notice for special occasions. They have red velvet donuts and maple bacon as well, so yummy!

LOVE these donuts. My favorite place to get them hands-down. Better than voodoo donuts in Portland. Tons of variety. Try their cream puffs - either kind, you won't be disappointed. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is that two of the three times I bought one of their mega donuts it collapsed because that particular baker was not great at making them. However, they refunded me partially and even gave me some free donuts. Try this place!!!

  • Julie K.

They are a great small business! Every time I visit it seems as though the donuts change. Which is quite a treat to see what new and unique creation they have for sale! The employees seem so friendly and are also very helpful. The prices are simply phenomenal!

  • Jeff B.

This place makes a mean combo of bacon and pancakes with maple syrup. Wait? They don't make pancakes here? You're right...they don't. But what they do make is a very delicious maple bar with bacon on top. You HAVE to try it. But you better be quick because these things go fast and if you're not there early enough you'll miss out. They also have these cream puffs that are worth the drive, wherever you're coming from. What I love about this place even more than the donuts they sell is their customer service. Once you enter you're instantly greeted with their wonderful staff and they are more than helpful. There have been times that they've shown then will go the extra mile to please their customers (an example of this would be taking the time to make extra maple bacon bars for their customers who drop by looking for some.) Keep up the good work everyone, you deserve the 5 stars that I'm putting out there for y'all.

I stop by here for my daughter a few times a month to get her treat before school. I'm not a big donut fan but I also bought my boss a dozen mixed donut holes. I tried one they were the best donut holes I've ever had. They have different flavors from glazed, Oreo, sprinkled, chocolate and more. They have giant donuts for parties and all different donuts sprinkled with popular cereal flavors, fillings and whipped cream and bacon maple bars. Everything always tastes fresh.

Best Donut in town. Maple bar with bacon is a must try.

STAR SHAPED DONUTS!? My life has been empty until now!!! Wild exaggerations aside, my coworker brought the office a dozen donuts. This can be a good and bad thing. He usually gets a dozen to share on payday (plus) but he also usually goes to some nasty shop near his house where the donuts taste like they were fried in month-old oil (huge minus). So when he presented a box today I was happy to see it was from a new place. I jokingly threatened that he better not have forgetten to bring me my sprinkle donut, and when he opened the box to reveal a star shaped sprinkle donut, my jaw almost hit the floor. SO FREAKING CUTE! And the donuts themselves tasted perfect! The dough was light and fresh, like a carb cloud on my tounge. So the freshest donuts I've had in a long time, the cutest donuts I've ever had, and I'm seeing from other Yelp reviews that they have the coveted bacon donut. WHAT! If anything could make me wake up early and drive to the other end of the county, it is Java Time!!

  • Carmina P.

I went in to Java Time on a whim, no expectations really as I love most donuts. But I was not expecting the huge selection from an otherwise inconspicuous corner donut shop! After getting over my awe for the giant, specialty donuts I picked out a few regular sized (but still really good looking) donuts. A maple bacon bar, one whipped cream puff, one custard puff, an Oreo bar, a pink glaze sprinkled, and a good ol' chocolate glazed. The ladies working were beyond nice and after telling them how much I loved donuts and how it was my first time there despite constantly passing the place, she even threw in an extra red velvet donut "just to try it!" How nice right? Would totally recommend Java Time. I've already decided I want a giant donut for my birthday instead of a cake lol!

  • Daisy M.

Finally got to try this place out. I placed an order for a medium donut. They have giant ones but they also have ones that are like the size of a personalized pizza for $4.95, which is what I got. They were even able to put happy bday on it. I got a crumb one, it was delicious. I also picked up their blueberry bar, red velvet bar and glazed cinnamon twist. All delicious! Will definitely come back to try all their other goodies!

  • Skit F.

When I had to go to work at 5 everyday, this was my go-to breakfast spot! There is always a wide variety of different donuts from shapes, flavor and gigantic size donuts. I tried a bacon donut for the first time and it has an interesting taste but it was good. There are other Java Times in Elk Grove but I think this one has the most to choose from. For parking you can either park in the parking lot in the back or park in front of the building. The front has really small parking though.

My kids and I always buy our donuts here. The selection is great, donuts are fresh and the service is alway good!!

It's Monday, work is busy, and I'm hangry. I just ate a three day old apple fritter from Java Time. For a three day old pastry, it was very tasty. I can only imagine that they are excellent when they are fresh. This is not my best day.

  • R L.

donuts are always so yummy! Taste so fresh, you always want more than one.

  • Steve S.

Looking for a Maple Glazed Donut with crunchy salty Bacon on top, this is the place. The first time I was here it was portioned in thirds. This time they had a whole one so I took a pic for the record. However, I was tempted by the Apple Fritter and they also have Blueberry Fritters... They have gigantic party donuts encrusted with various toppings such as fruit loops... Great hot coffee to wash it down... Highly recommended for the assortment of donuts!

I came here because my mom wanted "those donuts from that donut shop." This was my first time here and when I walked in I was instantly greeted. The girl who helped me was very patient while I snapped photos to send to my mom and confirmed and re-confirmed what she wanted again. I got a dozen sugar donut holes, half a dozen Oreo donut holes, and two regular glazed donuts. All that for only $3.85!! They ask for a minimum of $4 for a debit/credit card use so I threw in another donut hole for 15 cents! The girl was really nice and kept up a conversation with me the whole time I was there. She even helped me again when I had to come BACK in because my mom realized she told me to get the wrong ones. I got a dozen cream puffs with whipped cream. I believe they were about 7 or 8 dollars or not. Not too sure. The Oreo donut holes are amaaaazing. Really soft and fluffy on the inside with Oreo cookie crumbles on the outside. It wasn't overly sweet and I ate about half of it in the car ride home. My sister enjoyed the glazed donuts and I'm more than positive my mom loved the cream puffs because she has had them here before.

Steppin' up the donut game and making donut dreams come true!!! This place is all about taking the donut to another level. Don't get me wrong, they have the regular classic donuts available: chocolate glaze, maple, sugar, donut holes, bear claws, apple fritters, etc. Pretty sure people don't come here for the regular donuts! They have donuts the size of 3 toddlers! A special order item you have to pre-order 24 hours in advance. GREAT for office parties and just parties in general. They have Texas sized donuts the size of your face too! What blew me away? The creative donuts they had to offer! For example: 1. The bacon maple glazed donut: bacon pieces as toppings to the maple glaze. Amazing how the flavors went together. Have it with coffee and it tastes like breakfast instead of just a sweet pastry! 2. The Reeses Donut: If you're a Reeses Butter Cup lover like me you'll appreciate this donut! Chocolate glazed donut with peanut butter in the middle of soft, delectable, doughy bread. It was perfect! 3. Donut star with cream cheese: Usually cream cheese is associated with a croissant style pastry. Not here. Mofo is in a fancy star shaped donut. Super yummy! Yes, I only had three donuts. That's only because I ate half a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts the night before. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of their creations. Just to name a few: Oreo Cookie donut Fruity Pebbles topped donut Captain Crunch topped donut Creme filled with fresh strawberry donuts I can go one and on! I just want to taste them all!

The best donuts in town !! The world of big cake donut!!! You have to try the infamous cream puff!!! To die for !!! Soo yummie Old fashion my favorite but it has to be chocolate cause chocolate makes a girl HAPPYYYY!!! Lol Oh also, the blueberry scone yummo! Freashly baked lightly glazed. Hmmm. Making me hungry now

This is not your ordinary donut shop and for someone who doesn't drink coffee- "Java" certainly isn't what I go for- it's their amazingly fresh, delicious, and creative donuts!! I have run in for a dozen donuts for family or a few dozen for work- and have NEVER been disappointed!! All whose tastebuds come in contact with one of these delicious treats always wants to know where they came from- and then they too become frequenters of Java Time. In addition to their gourmet "specialty" donuts, like bacon maple bars, Oreo cream donuts, red velvet bars, they have a ginormous donut that comes in a few different sizes for big events- I've ordered them for work events, a super bowl party, and birthdays- they too can be just as decadent as the "normal" donuts and can also be custom decorated. Additionally, when you purchase one of these custom orders, they throw in a ton of donut holes! To sum it up- if you want a donut, don't waste your time going anywhere else- the service is always friendly and the donuts- well... try for yourself- you'll be intrigued and your tastebuds will thank you.

Java time and Donut time!!! Super early on Saturday mornings, my Hubby loves to go grab donut for our kids and his morning coffee. This past St. Patty's day I decided to join him. Rows and rows of fresh, delightful, creative dough nuts. This family owned business gets up bright and early before the rooster crows and begins making donuts. They have simple maple bars or maple bars with bacon, simple chocolate bars or chocolate bars with whip cream and strawberries! Whatever you have a taste for I'm sure you can find it. If for whatever reason you need a 24 inch donut in diameter, they have that to (24 hour in advance)! And every holiday, they make specialty bars (like the green glazed clovers we bought for St. Patty's Day). In addition to the dough nuts, they have other pastries, coffees, lattes and teas. Now here is the catch, GET THERE EARLY!! People swarm in buying up all the delectable dough nuts fast. And the parking sucks! Just a few spots in front or just park more towards the rest of the strip mall and walk on over.

Horrible customer Service...HOR _RI_BLE. I cannot express how disrespectful this cashier has been. I love a good fresh donuts but I refuse to spend my money in this place even one more red cent. - a couple stars

Love this place! Always a LARGE variety, and they are always fresh. If you come near to closing time, you might even get some extra doughnuts thrown in. ;) well run shop, and a family/ friends favorite in Elk Grove. It's easy to miss your first time driving by, but you won't forget the next time.

Best doughnut shop in Elk Grove! So glad I decided to grab a Starbucks before and wanted doughnuts! I mapped what doughnut shops were near and it popped up with this one! So glad it did! The staff is super super nice, the doughnuts are amazing! And their jelly filled doughnut holes are genius! I found my new Saturday doughnut place!

I'll make this quick: YUM!! Our kids simply call this the "Donut Store" because it's the only one we go to, and for good reason! Donuts are fresh, soft, warm, and delicious. Parking is very limited but it is worth it. Don't miss out!

Pretty good donuts. If say defiantly a place to go in the morning before work when u want that delicious bite to eat. It's very good n their cafe mocha is bomb. Stop in and try their different bars n donuts. The donut holes are a bit to hard for my liking but everything else is spot on.

This joint has the best donuts!! I've been coming here for years and I don't get my donuts anywhere else. Their maple bars, cream puffs, cream cheese and blueberry scones, and the glazed buttermilk is so delicious! They also have a variety of delicious muffins. OH, CANT FORGET THE CHAI LATTE!!

Have lived in Elk Grove for about 2 years now and have never been to this donut shop. Donuts are really good and they have so many. I was actually amazed at the big donuts they had haha very cool. This is now my new donut shop to stop by.

I've heard about Java Time Donuts and finally decided to give them a try today. Right when I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly employee, which is much appreciated early in the morning. There was a diverse and plentiful selection of donuts with reasonable prices. I had a difficult time deciding! I ended up with an apple fritter and bacon maple bar. Both are fantastic of course. If you're willing to splurge on donuts, this is the place to go to in Elk Grove. Tasty donuts and great customer service!

  • Mimi V.

YUMMY! Best donuts in Elk Grove area! Very creative donuts with very friendly staff. Their dough is soft like heaven and doesn't make you feel packed. My favorite donuts from them is their donut holes. With each bite i take. i can't stop eating them! Tired of giving people a cake for their birthday? Give a huge birthday donut instead! Definitely one of the best donut shops in town!

  • Lily T.

The selection here is amazing. Who knew Elk Grove was harboring this little gem of a donut shop? This is the only place I've found a bacon maple donut. Not that I've gone looking for it or anything... I thank the Yelp gods for directing me to this place.

  • Rachel W.

Tried a blueberry bar and let me tell you it was SUPER delicious... oh and they have donuts he size of a monster truck tire.. I've never seen a donut that big until I discovered java time.... GOD BLESS THAT DONUT Maker ... =]

  • Ben.Dover H.

I dont eat donuts too often but this place has got to be in the top 5 of the best donut places ive been to. They have a blueberry donut and that was a fairly interesting way to combine such intersting tangy berry flavor with sugary artery clogging fried dough of the true american donut. Overall bought a dozen, ate 8, didnt go to the gym #YOLO

  • Reese S.

We just moved to Elk Grove and tried this place out on a friend's recommendation. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the Capt'n Crunch w/ Crunch Berries donut! SO COOL! My fiance and I got some custard filled donut holes and jam filled donuts with our coffee. The staff is very friendly and the donuts are excellent. This is definitely our new morning haunt!

    (5)
  • Anne W.

There are a lot of interesting donuts in this shop, but I've never tried them. They also have a giant donut that you can order which looks pretty cool. I usually come here to get cream puffs. They are so light and airy with the right amount of sweetness and custard. It's always a hit at work and school potlucks. The first time I bought a dozen, they were gone within five minutes. I had to increase my order to three dozen since everyone liked them so much. It's super messy to eat (the powdered sugar gets everywhere) but it's totally worth it.

    Donuts aren't just for breakfast.

  • Chau L.

Came here after looking at the photos on yelp. I wanted to see that huge doughnut in person! You can have one if you order it 24hrs in advance! I did not get that but I got a dozen fancy doughnuts. The fancy doughnuts are the huge filled doughnuts of all sorts of flavors. I got the chocolate bear claws, powdered, cherry filled, apple fritter filled, custard, lemon, strawberry filled doughnuts. The owner also threw in 1 free doughnut plus 8 puff cream doughnuts! Those puffers were excellent, better than beard papas. I would come back for more, I love freshly made doughnuts with a homestyle kick.

  • Itchy R.

VERY DISAPPOINTING! So many people seemed to give such high ratings for this shop so I decided to check it out since I was in town. The donut was eh but service was even WORST! The two asian women (the chubby one and the loud, lemon-faced looking one) were very rude and a bit racist. I stood there waiting to be serviced and yet they acted like they didn't see me even though I was right in front of them. The funny thing is, a non-asian person walked in after I did and the lemon-faced looking one was like "Oh Hi there, how can I help you." They appear to be more attentive to NON-asians. I don't believe I would ever go back there again.

  • Paula P.

The selection is amazing! So many to choose from, I usually end up getting one of each. The donuts are moist and delicious! Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.

  • Jesse K.

Good donuts, but bad parking situation. Get there early while they are fresh. These are good donuts and there is plenty of variety in the morning. If you get there late, such as in the afternoon, there is no selection left. Seating is minimal, but there really isn't much ambiance that would inspired you to sit inside for a long period of time. The coffee selection is big thermoses of Java Time coffee, its fresh but just average coffee. At least its not expensive! This place also has some massive donuts, I really don't know what they are for.

    (4)
  • Judie H.

Imagine opening a huge box of donuts being greeted by the largest sprinkle donut you've ever seen in your entire life. So huge...Homer Simpson perches on your left shoulder whispering "eat it...eat it...nom nom nom". This place doesn't just do donuts...it does beyond donuts...your wildest dreams donuts. Rasberry puffs, Cream Puffs, Oreo crusted Donuts, M&M with Chocolate Frosting Donuts, M&M with Pink Frosting Donuts, Butterfinger Crusted with Chocolate Frosting Donut, Huge Valentine Jelly Donuts, Heart Shaped Glazed Donuts. Need I say more? If you want your regular donuts...go else where. If you want unique creative donuts...come here!

  • Julia D.

I was driving home with my husband and eating a blueberry bar at the same time and I said, "This donut tastes like what I imagine cake in fairy tales to taste like." And then I decided to write my review. We just left this place after our fourth visit and we will be back. I haven't tried the bacon maple bar, but I'm building up the courage. The strawberry/chocolate/cream bars are...glorious. The strawberries are fresh and not soaked in sugar. I don't think they have anything on them at all. Okay, gotta go. PS They're in the little cove in the complex. You can see them from the street, but not from the parking lot.

I ordered 29 heart shaped donuts for my daughter's class for her birthday and needless to say my daughter was the most popular kid today!!!! These donuts are so pretty and they have a bunch of other cool flavors and types when I went inside to pick them up. I will def come again and recommend to anyone looking for special donuts not boring regular ones.

You never know what to expect when you go to Java Time Donuts. I have been there at ten in the morning and they were out of donuts. How can a donut place be out of donuts at ten in the morning? I have also been there when the display case was full at ten in the morning. I like that they have a large variety of healthy muffins as well as donuts (I wish they had bacon cheddar muffins). They have a large selection of different flavors of coffee and the place is clean and bright with a fair amount of seating for a donut shop. The doughnuts... oh yeah the doughnuts! They have a large variety and though they are not the best doughnuts I have ever had, but they are far from the worse. They will definitely take care of your doughnut cravings, if they have any left, that is. Hmmmmm

  • linda N.

Yumm... I tried the bacon maple donut (pleasantly surprised - savory and delish), chocolate, and glaze. The donuts are wonderful - light and fluffy. The lady was helping another customer, and she asked for a donut that was out of stock. She went in the back and quickly made it for her. On top of that, I bought half a dozen and she gave me a custard for free also - score!! I'm a fan - will definitely be coming back.

With at least an hour still remaining on the pedicure happening next door, Wifey being pampered and in no rush to get done whatsoever, I paced back and forth wondering why I didn't just leave and go do the other shopping I had planned. I was also starving... famished if I can use that word. Nothing of any interest around this shopping center to ease my tension other than a Gamestop, and I'm sure some little pipsqueak would be hogging Madden '11 anyway. Shaky. Annoyed. Salivating at the thought of any sort of sustenance. What's this? A donut shop next door to Polished? Don't mind if I do -- hope they have sandwiches. I push the door open and there appears to be no-one in the store. A faint hum from the various refrigerators containing milk, juice and the like. But no one in clear site. I look into the glass case, my eyes immediately drawn to the old fashioned donut, smothered in chocolate icing, with Crunch Berries sprinkled on the top. Then a Maple Bar with bacon trimmings. Then a row of cream puffs with Kiwi fruit and strawberries protruding from them. They all look prepared much earlier in the day. Much, much earlier. I start walking further into Java Time and I find an employee, sitting in the back behind the counter, sitting on a box of some sort, slicing fruit on a cutting board that is also balancing on some sort of box. 'The fruit is red', I tell myself. She asks what she can get me. I say, "I'll have one of your (pause) fruit smoothies?" The fruit is red. "What kind of smoothie?" The fruit is red. "Mango." Three-fifty later, I'm walking out the way I came. The shake is almost unbearably sweet, like a slice of mango was added to a can of sweetened condensed milk and blended into a frothy soup. I head back next door and offer some to Wifey. She sips some and frowns at me like I'd fed her a really poor mango smoothie from a nearby donut shop. Well great, that killed five minutes. Just fifty-five more to go.

This place ROCKS!! The bakers can get VERY creative~ Oreo-cookie donut, split-cream chocolate bar with strawberries, star-shaped danishes, etc. Definitely worth the effort on your LAZY Saturday morning~ #JustSayin'...

  • Sandy S.

Their coffee is great in terms of taste and pricing! They also have a large variety of donuts, generic, and specialty ones. Some of their special donuts have strawberries, bacon, and even cereal on them! They also have these gigantic donuts that I guess you can buy for parties, or even in place of a cake for donut lovers. The girl who works there is very kind, and even offered to make a specific donut that they had ran out of the day I went. They also have smoothies, coke products, and other sorts of drinks as well. In order to use a credit card your purchase has to be at least $4, so bring some cash otherwise!

Yummy.. 3.5 Stars My friend recommended Java Time Donuts for fresh and delicious donut holes and she's right. It was pretty darn good! I didn't try the other donuts but they do look yummy. Btw, I saw a large donut and was told it cost $17.99 and be preordered.

I loved it!!! Best customer arrive ever!!! She seen how much I wanted the lemon filling donut, so she threw it in, with a few extra ones =] which made my day since I'm a broke college student. But it was a dozen for I think 9 dollars, then .50 extra for the filings.. Definitely going back!!

Bacon doughnuts? Yep, this place has bacon doughnuts. I love bacon so naturally you gotta put it on a doughnut. At first I was skeptical, but I tried one bite and liked it! I love the sweet and savory combo. Yum! I got some for a breakfast potluck at work. A regular dozen and 4 bacon doughnuts for just under $20.

LOVE THIS PLACE! I can't wait to go back; everything is delicious and fresh. I love the variety ranging from glazed to cereal topped. The bacon maple bar is so worth a try. I love how they don't skimp on the bacon! The cream puffs are so fresh and light...why not throw in a few!

We are rather new to the area and so we have been trying out different places...this place was hands down my favorite for donuts. They always have a wide variety, and something different every time we come here. The staff is friendly. Can't wait to come back again!

Voodoo doughnut in Portland OR has set my standard for donuts so high its not even fair to other donut shops. That being said I did my best to lower my standard and got a maple bacon bar and a kebab of different donut holes. The maple bacon bar was okay, the bacon wasn't that crispy and cut up in pieces instead of a whole slice which is not cool JTD, to be perfectly honest their maple bacon bar was not even top 5 in Sac. The donut holes were just average donut holes. I'm not sure where all the hype came from, both times i've came they have had limited amount of donuts which almost makes me want to give them 1 star. What kind of donut shop makes one batch and stops? A true disappointment.

I've got a doughnut problem. I mean, it's not even a problem I was aware of until someone told me Marie's was open late night and since I am a nocturnal creature I suddenly started finding myself sitting on the curb out front with a small box of Chocolate milk and two glazed doughnuts - keepin' it simple. The point is, I try a bunch of doughnut places. Sometimes it seems like they're all the same. Doughbot is good if you just want to try something but they can be expensive and underwhelming; Java Time Donuts doesn't have that problem. The bacon maple bar with a cup of coffee is nothing short of amazing; I could eat these for breakfast every day, lifetime of health problems be damned! You have to try theme, even if it's just once. I've had the same kind of doughnuts other places but the bacon on this was perfectly cooked and there was actually enough bacon to accompany each bite. I also got a cherry glazed which was perfect as a dessert later that day and still tasted light and fluffy, and two of the bars filled with whipped cream and strawberries both of which tasted exactly like they looked which is to say pretty good but at that point I wanted more of those bacon maple bars or cherry glazed. So, if you have a moment and are in the neighborhood I definitely suggest checking them out. I know I'll be back here early in the morning; I mean they even have cream puffs! Who doesn't like an affordable, adorable cream puff?

Their maple bar with bacon on top in sinfully delicious. Sweet and salty, it hits the spot. Their raspberry puff is a delight as well. My favorite spot for donuts in the Elk Grove area, I always end up getting way more than I can possibly finish. Check out their party size donut, it is ridiculously ginormous. The owners and employees are very friendly and often give me extra goodies.

Best apple fritters on the planet...the staff is quick and friendly, and I've never left here disappointed. Keep up the great work!

Never had a chance to order. We waited 10 min in line and when it was our turn the employee asked I'd she could help the other customer in line because we were ordering coffee drinks too and she didn't want to have the other customers waiting. I work in sales and I would have never treated a customer like this... When we proceeded to leave they didn't even care.

Cheaper than a two dollar ho with no teeth and tastier than megan fox...this place gets the jedi master class five stars from me for their exceptional goodies. Bust this..we bought a cherry doughnut, a bacon maple doughnut, six jelly filled holes, and 12 regular holes..all for 6 bucks. Everyone talks about their blueberry goodies, but they were all out by the time we got there, around 11AM. The bacon maple doughnut was the best, you taste the saltiness of the bacon, and feel it making you fatter by the second. Then the sugary sweetness of the maple icing puts the nail in your fat coffin. This is not a place for dieters, mind you. So you all you fatties in your Zumba outfits better steer way clear of this place, or else you will be breaking your vows to look good for the beach in no time.

Blueberry & fresh whipped cream eclair. Black sesame donut hole. Bacon-topped maple bar. Cinnamon-sprinkle dusted donut. Donuts covered in candy pieces. Frosted donuts, topped with breakfast cereal. Donuts bigger than your head (literally). This place is serious. Check it out.

Not all donut shops are created equal and rightfully so.... Java time donuts is the best donut shop I have ever been too, not only because they have a bacon donut or a fruit loop donut but because the quality of their customer service and dedication to making the world's best donuts. Don't just take my word for it... Just ask the 15 people that ordered after me in a 10 minute span. Thank you for my power breakfast java time donuts and even ensuring that I wouldn't have bubble guts at work because I forgot to ask for soy!

Large selection of donuts. Non traditional donuts like the maple bar with Apple wood smoked Bacon on top, which is great. Always fresh donuts. The customer service has always been so nice.

You just can't win coming to this place. If you come too early, they aren't open. Come too late and they're out of donuts. They say they open at 5 and I come at 530 and it's not open(lights weren't even on for setup. It was completely dark). I usually go to this donut shop since it's closer to my house but I definitely need to visit another place.

The donuts are amazing. And not just because of the ever changing variety. They're just great donuts. Plain and simple. The prices are more than reasonable, and the staff is always great. I've ordered a cake sized donut, and it was done on time, and was cooked to perfection. The coffee drinks are also very good, although a bit overpriced. If you're within 50 miles of this place I suggest you try it sometime.

Scrumptious donuts, with good bite. The maple-bacon donut was recommended to me--it was YUMMY but not for the faint of heart or someone who fears a heart attack lol. I can only eat a quarter of that donut at a time. I frequent this place and continue to come back because the service is great and their donuts are even better. Support local shops!

My co-worker, Lynne W. introduced me to their cream puff. They were to DIE for!!!!! They were 4 for $1. It's nice, soft, a lil chewy and just melt in your mouth. Plus the powder sugar gets all over your lips and the front of your shirt. Can't hide that from the kids or the hubby. Get it when it's fresh which is early in the morning. Have that w/their java and your day is set. No wonder I could never get rid of my pregnancy weight! I don't just eat 1 cream puff, I have to eat like 12 of them! Did I mentioned they were to DIE for?

I've never had such delectable doughnuts and cream puffs! I wish I found this place years ago. This locally owned shop never lets me down. The prices are beyond decent. The bacon maple bar is on the sweet side but is just covered with so much bacon, I can resist. I can't image coming in and not getting a few cream puffs for the road. They are so fresh, light and fluffy. No matter how full I am, I can always squeeze in a few. If you don't feel adventurous, the blue berry bars and éclairs are a must. Even just seeing the heart shaped doughnuts and the fruit loop covered doughnuts make my inner child smile....guess I'm having doughnuts tomorrow morning!

This is the best donut shop I have ever been to. Not only do they make the best donuts but its a family business so the customer service is the best. They always know what i order because i am frequent: large white mocha-apple fritter and bacon donut. Thats right, i said BACON. Its a must try. Five stars for sure

I R the CREAM PUFF! well, if i'm early enough that is. I try to stop by whenever i'm in town. But they are usually out of the custard (my fav) ones. And those cake donuts...mmmmmmmmm...Java Time has ruined donuts for me. We need one here in Hawaii!

Coming into this place ever since visitng the Java Time donuts on Elk Grove blvd. I had the best hope for an amazing doughnut. I special ordered heart shaped donuts for a birthday present and the workers were very sweet even though their English is a bit off. Upon walking in, you see a large doughnut that looks like it could be your new spare tire! It's a custom doughnut cake you can special order for about $18 and one day I'm going to buy it. But Java Time has caught my heart with their special shapes and flavors, I have a new regular place for doughnuts now!

Best place to get donuts! I love their cream puff things, although the powdered sugar gets everywhere when you eat them. Their donuts are so creative, and the staff is so nice! I only eat donuts maybe twice a year, but this is the place I go. I always recommend them!
